It is with profound sadness and heartbreak, that the family of Cory Sean Monsees, announce his peaceful passing on February 23, 2024, at the age of 49, with all his family by his side.

Cory was born July 2, 1974 in Arcola, SK to Cy and Ruth Monsees. He was raised in Moose Jaw, SK., finished his schooling at Riverview Collegiate where he met his wife, his high school sweetheart, Janelle who have been together for 32 years.

Cory was many things and meant the world to his family and friends. He was loving, caring, thoughtful, generous and helpful. He was a hardworking man who took pride in all that he did. Cory worked with the family business of trucking for 28 years where he trucked, was a mechanic and took care of all the things that needed to be done. The family often said we don't know what we would have done without "GOOSE". Cory "Goose" made many friends along the way over the 28 years in the trucking industry. Cory loved his family more than anything. He loved spending time with them, especially with his grandson, Colter. He also enjoyed travelling, going to many places with friends and family. Cory was an amazing husband, father, grandpa, uncle, brother, son and friend.

Cory is predeceased by his mom, Ruth; sister, Shauna; and brother-in-law, Jamie Throssell.

Cory is survived and lovingly remembered by his wife, Janelle; sons, Justin (Shay) and Bailey (Melody); daughter, Josie; and his little buddy, his pride and joy, his grandson, Colter Cory; his father, Cy; father-in-law, Keith Throssell; mother-in-law, Cindy Butler; sister-in-law, Pamela Wallace (Curtis and niece Kyra); brother-in-law, Jody Throssell (Sarah and nephews Jayden and Jax), Todd Throssell (Tracy); and his friends that are family: Don Gallot, Shelly Adrian and Rick Clark, Jamie and Trisha Passmore, Pat and Lorne Horsman, Jim and Roberta Passmore and many other Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and friends.
